Singer Charo's husband dead by suicide



Charo's husband is dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Charo's TV producer husband of 41 years shot himself at their Beverly Hill's home.


According to TMZ, the husband Kjell Rasten shot himself Monday afternoon in the Beverly Hills home where he resided with his wife Charo.


Someone in the house called 911 and the police responded, Kjell was taken to the hospital but they were unable to rescue him.


He got married to the actress and singer María del Risario professionally known by her stage name Charo in 1978 and they had one child together. The child is actor Shel Rasten.


Kjell was a TV producer in the 1970s and 1980s.

Charo, Kjell and Shel Rasten featured in "celebrity Wife Swap" in 2015.


Kjell was 79.

Rest in peace Kjell Rasten.
