In recent years, his health began to decline and he developed a rare and horrible skin disease called Bullous Pemphigold. The love of my life killed himself". She continued, "He also became very depressed. That along with the many medications he needed to take, became too much for him, and he ended his suffering". Happninaija  broke the news that the former TV producer, Kjell Rasten shot himself  on Monday in the Beverly Hills home where he resided with his wife. They got married in 1978 and had one child together, the child is actor and producer Shel Rasten. Charo's husband is dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Charo's TV producer husband of 41 years shot himself at their Beverly Hill's home. According to TMZ, the husband Kjell Rasten shot himself Monday afternoon in the Beverly Hills home where he resided with his wife Charo. Someone in the house called 911 and the police responded, Kjell was taken to the hospital but they were unable to rescue him. He got married to the actress and singer María del Risario professionally known by her stage name Charo in 1978 and they had one child together. The child is actor Shel Rasten. Kjell was a TV producer in the 1970s and 1980s. Charo, Kjell and Shel Rasten featured in "celebrity Wife Swap" in 2015. Kjell was 79.
