The R & B star has gained his freedom on Monday, his freedom was effective after paying 10% out of the $1m bail set for the singer. The payment was posted on Monday after the 52-year-old appeared in court and entered a not guilty to plea to the 10 counts sexual abuse. According to TMZ, as Kelly stepped out of jail, there were some protesters shouting at him, referring to him as pedophioe and asking what his reaction would be if a man urinated on his own daughter. Kelly was spotted at McDonald's in Chicago's River North neighborhood with his entourage after his release, they all went there to eat. Kelly's next court appearance would be on March 22, 2019. The singer would still be paying about $160,000 in back child support to his ex-wife, Drea, failure to pay this amount to her might result to the singer going back to jail. Greenberg who is Kelly's attorney, told reporters on Saturday that his client doesn't have to have nonconsensual sex.

After the 52-year-old R &B star was charged with sexually abusing four females, including three underage girls, a judge in the U.S. has set R.Kelly's bail at $1m equivalent to £766,500 on Saturday. Robert Sylvester Kelly, popularly know as R.Kelly surrendered himself  to the police on Friday after issuance of arrest warrant. His bail was set as $1m but 10% which is $100,000 is all he needs to post to secure his release. According to Michael Avenatti who represents a whistleblower in R.Kelly  rape and child molestation case, the 45 minutes VHS recording was exposed after multiple clients came to him alleging Kelly had sexually assaulted underage girls. Avenatti says the video obviously reveals Kelly engaging in multiple sex acts with a girl. According to CNN the underage girl refers to Kelly as "daddy" in the sex tape, Kelly asked the girl to urinate, after that, Kelly himself urinated on the girl. Two women came out on Friday with allegations that Kelly sexually abused them as teens.
