A serving House of Representatives member in Oyo State, Temitope Olatoye, popularly known as 'sugar', who is representing Akinyele/Lagelu Federal Constituency was reportedly shot dead by unknown gunmen. According to Sunday Vanguard, an information from a reliable source stated that the Honourable was shot in the eye at Iyana-Agbala area of Ibadan on Saturday. Sugar's younger brother, Oladotun revealed that Sugar was truly shot and was rushed to University College Hospital Ibadan (UCH), he died few hours later. Olatoye is said to have died at the Intensive Care Unit of UCH, Ibadan on Saturday, March 9. The spokesman of the hospital, Toye Akinrinola said Sugar died from gunshot wound. About N6.16 trillion out of the N8.49 trillion pension asset under the Contributory Pension Scheme has been borrowed by the Federal Government. This was revealed by the National Pension Commission (NPC) on Tuesday in Abuja. It was reported by the pension commission that the Federal Government's borrowing signifies 72.5% of the pension fund. The Pension Fund Administrators also spent 6.87% or N584.321bn of the fund in domestic ordinary shares and 0.71% or N60.529bn of the fund was spent in foreign ordinary shares, according to data from PenCom.
