Oyo Reps member, Olatoye Sugar shot dead

A serving House of Representatives member in Oyo State, Temitope Olatoye, popularly known as 'sugar', who is representing Akinyele/Lagelu Federal Constituency was reportedly shot dead by unknown gunmen.

According to Sunday Vanguard, an information from a reliable source stated that the Honourable was shot in the eye at Iyana-Agbala area of Ibadan on Saturday.

Sugar's younger brother, Oladotun revealed that Sugar was truly shot and was rushed to University College Hospital Ibadan (UCH), he died few hours later.

Olatoye is said to have died at the Intensive Care Unit of UCH, Ibadan on Saturday, March 9.

The spokesman of the hospital, Toye Akinrinola said Sugar died from gunshot wound.

"We have formally told the family of his demise", Akinrinola said.
