Rihanna sues her Father for using her brand name - Fenty

Singer Robyn Rihanna Fenty, popularly known as Rihanna has filed a lawsuit against her father accusing him for trading on their surname "Fenty".

Rihanna made the name Fenty popular for financial gain. She alleges the suit against Ronald Fenty who is her father and his business associate, Moses Joktan Perkins.

Fenty Entertainment allegedly attempted to book concerts for her without her permission and used Rihanna's name to solicit millions of dollars from unsuspecting third parties, the suit filed in U.S claims.

The suit alleges Rihanna's father and his business associate of attempting to trade on the trademark which Rihanna has worked for its fame and victory - Rihanna's Fenty brand of products.


Rihanna is accusing her Father of attempting to file a trademark for the name "Fenty" to use on the chain of boutique hotels.

"Fenty Beauty" is a make up line launched by Rihanna in 2017 and now, Rihanna is claiming in the suit that her father and his business associate committed in false advertisement of her work.

Rihanna music team claim they have sent several desist letters to Ronald ordering him to stop using the trademarked name.

The name "Fenty" has been trademarked by singer Rihanna according to U.S trademark records.
