Smollett was spotted on video surveillance camera walking on the opposite side of the street at two persons of interest, as reported by Rob Elgas, a reporter. Elgas said both Smollett and the persons of interest then walk off camera.
According to the reporter, Jussie remained unsighted on the camera for almost 60 seconds. He resurfaced on video surveillance going in to a condo building with street salt on his sweater and rope around his neck.
Smollett arrives at a friend's place where cops met him for report.
The Police just revealed an image that has to do with the alleged assault attack from surveillance camera, but the image only reveals the shadow of the persons of interest.
According to TMZ, law enforcement detectives have checked video footage in the environment where the incident happened and until now, haven't found a mark of the Smollett assailants.
Police would like to have a word with the persons of interest to figure out if they were involved in the incident or if they witnessed it.
According to the Police in charge of the case, they said they have got a lead from surveillance camera, but in order to figure out multiple persons of interest, public help would be required.
Although Cops are careful not to call the people suspects yet, but Chicago PD revealed that detectives were able to get a camera angle that shows "persons of interest wanted for investigation".
According to TMZ, Smollett's manager Brandon Z. Moore when speaking with the police said he was on the phone with Smollett during the attack.
Moore revealed that he heard the MAGA scream and the racial homophobic insults.
